SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health, is seeking a Division Director in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Geriatric Medicine. This role will lead our renowned Geriatric Medicine division, which offers clinical, teaching, and research programs, including an accredited geriatric medicine fellowship, basic science research, and a long-standing Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Grant.
Areas of Special Interest- Post-acute and long-term care medicine
- Frailty and sarcopenia
- Pathogenesis and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease
- Education of patients
- The public and health care providers about issues related to aging
The Division Director will work closely with the leadership of the newly established Division of Palliative Medicine and its palliative care fellowship program. The director will oversee geriatric medicine primary care and consultative services provided at nursing homes, assisted living centers, specialty outpatient offices, and hospital settings.
We serve as the medical teaching hospital for Saint Louis University School of Medicine and are exclusively staffed by the SLUCare Physician Group, supporting advanced health care solutions for the community.
