Position Overview
SLUCare Physician Group, a member of SSM Health, is seeking a Clinical Biochemical Geneticist for the Division of Medical Genetics of the Department of Pediatrics. The appointment is anticipated at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor, with rank and salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
QualificationsCandidate should have ABMG active candidate status or certification as a Biochemical Geneticist.
ResponsibilitiesParticipation in clinical care, medical education, and administrative duties. The metabolic team includes physicians, a genetic counselor, a dedicated nurse, and a clinical dietician. The Division provides inpatient and outpatient services at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, other area hospitals, and outreach clinic sites under the direction of Stephen R. Braddock, MD. Prenatal genetic services are provided in concert with the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division.
Faculty members are actively involved in clinical and molecular genetics research projects. Diagnostic laboratories are available on site. Teaching opportunities in didactic and clinical settings are available at medical student and postgraduate levels.
