What you will do
Program Leadership & Strategy- Design, implement, and oversee a best-in-class Before & After Care program that integrates academic enrichment, social-emotional learning, and recreational activities.
- Establish and maintain high expectations for program culture, ensuring it is inclusive, identity-affirming, and reflective of KIPP’s commitment to equity.
- Assess program effectiveness through data analysis and stakeholder feedback, making equity-driven improvements as needed.
- Develop and implement a robust curriculum that supports homework completion, literacy and numeracy reinforcement, STEM exploration, and social-emotional skill-building.
- Partner with school-based leadership to align programming with grade-level priorities and KIPP’s broader academic and culture goals.
- Ensure activities are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and designed to engage diverse learners.
- Recruit, hire, train, and coach a high-performing team of Site Supervisors and Activity Specialists.
- Provide ongoing professional development, with a focus on culturally responsive teaching, restorative practices, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, inclusivity, and equity-centered leadership among program staff.
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth program delivery, including attendance tracking, student transitions, and facility management.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe, supportive, and accessible environment for all students.
- Manage program budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and expand access for historically marginalized students.
- Collaborate with ARCHS to ensure full compliance with all financial and operational requirements, including budget oversight, grant reporting, and resource allocation to maximize program sustainability and effectiveness.
- Conduct regular site visits with ARCHS to ensure all program sites meet compliance standards set by ARCHS and state mandates, addressing any identified gaps and implementing corrective action plans as needed.
- Build strong relationships with families, ensuring they feel informed, engaged, and supported in their child’s extended learning experience.
- Develop initiatives to increase student participation, particularly among families facing economic or systemic barriers.
- Partner with community organizations, mentors, and local leaders to expand enrichment opportunities and provide additional resources for students.
