A Substitute Teacher is responsible for teaching and supervising students in the absence of the regular teacher, following lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring the safety and well‑being of students.

• Follow lesson plans and deliver instructional content.
• Adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
• Enforce school rules and policies, manage behavior, and address disruptions.
• Engage students in learning activities and provide guidance.
• Monitor progress, provide feedback, administer assessments, and submit reports.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators.
• Report incidents or issues to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure physical and emotional safety, following health and emergency protocols.

• High school diploma required;
  Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred.
• Teaching certification or substitute teacher permit may be required.
• Prior teaching or classroom experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in different educational settings.
• Basic understanding of classroom technology and instructional tools.
