Our regionally accredited university comprises the College of Nursing and the College of Health Professions. The College of Nursing offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at 23 campuses and online post-licensure programs, including RN to BSN, RN to MSN, an MSN with six Specialty Tracks, and a DNP. The College of Health Professions provides online options for a Master of Public Health, Public Health Certificates, and a Master of Social Work.

• Teaching is onsite in a clinical setting with our clinical partners.

• Schedule:
  
  most commonly 12-hour rotations (7a-7p) for three to four consecutive days.

• Complex Adult Health course overview:
  Focuses on adult patients and their families regarding health promotion and management of acute and chronic conditions. Uses the nursing process to discuss health alterations affecting life processes. Students develop professional skills as part of the health team.

• Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
• Manage all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments.
• Plan clinical experiences, supervise, and evaluate nursing students providing care to individuals or groups.
• Provide documented feedback on student performance based on course objectives.
• Offer remediation for students as needed.
• Orient to and stay current with agency/clinical policies and procedures.
• Develop and assign clinical tasks aligned with students' knowledge and skills.
• Grade assignments and paperwork promptly.
• May teach didactic content under supervision.
• Communicate student and agency issues to the course coordinator and dean.

We encourage applicants who have:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• An unencumbered nursing license in Missouri.
• Illinois RN license (required for teaching all courses, prioritized to licensed Illinois professors).
• At least two years of recent professional nursing experience in instruction.
• Teaching or precepting experience is preferred.
• Passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
• Excellent communication skills and subject matter expertise.
• Commitment to serving students and colleagues with respect and care.

Position Details:
The expected compensation ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the course credit hours. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as course type, experience, location, and market conditions. Our Talent Acquisition Team can answer questions about salary expectations.
