Location: St. Louis
Join a passionate team of educators dedicated to empowering students with diverse learning needs. As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide high-quality, individualized instruction and support to students in grades K–12. Working under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, you’ll collaborate with general education staff to create inclusive, effective learning environments that foster academic achievement and personal growth.
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- No weekends or holidays!
- Openings available at both elementary and high school levels
- Mild/Mod K-12 Certification Required
Hourly rate open to negotiate!
Key Responsibilities- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ unique learning profiles.
- Provide tutorial assistance and consult with general education teachers to support inclusive practices.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to special education.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (required).
- Valid state teaching certification in accordance with district and state regulations.
- Minimum of one year of teaching experience (preferred).
- Current CPR certification (if applicable).
- Completion of TB questionnaire, PPD test, or chest x-ray (if applicable).
- Current health certificate as required by state or contract.
- Must meet all professional standards of practice.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
