This position is responsible for providing new and continuing students with academic, social and personal development support to enhance retention and graduation outcomes. Performs tasks which orient students to the college, policies and expectations by assessing needs and identifying tasks and information necessary for improvement (successful matriculation and advancement through their education program) including but not limited to accessing the learning management system(s), performing unofficial degree audits, curriculum advisement, rescheduling courses, and obtaining Academic Accommodations as well as Medical Withdrawal.
Reports to the Vice President for Student Success.
- Manages assigned case load with ability to travel to various campus locations.
- Advises students on college policies and procedures.
- Addresses academic alerts submitted by faculty.
- Coaches and mentors students to reach their highest potential.
- Performs unofficial degree audits and arranges rescheduling as appropriate.
- Provides administrative support of various programs, policies, and procedures.
- Responds to students’ office visits, incoming calls, phone messages, and emails.
- Engages students in meetings for academic referrals, academic probation, and success plans.
- Supports college-wide student success through other duties as necessary.
Up to $50,000 annually depending on experience.
