Manufacturing Engineer New Grad – Weir Minerals
Location: St. Louis, MO – Onsite – Full Time – Monday to Friday
Requirements: Must be a new graduate from an engineering program.
Purpose of Role: Support the business and team by participating in Continuous Improvement events (Kaizen, SMED, etc.) to improve the quality and efficiency of operations. Identify areas for improvement, develop and execute action plans to tackle challenges and overcome manufacturing obstacles. Gain real world experience in manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, lean manufacturing and general manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Safety First:
Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. - Participate in continuous improvement events (Kaizen, SMED, RCCA, etc.) to improve the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing process.
- Assist in creating and revising Standard Work Instructions to document processes and reduce process variation in the business.
- Design and implement improved work holding and product storage fixturing.
- Learn the operations of the business and support the business in achieving top level business objectives.
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
- Preferred disciplines include Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or Engineering Management.
