Server Infrastructure Specialist
Location:
St Louis, MO
Duration: 12 Month+ Contract
Local candidates only. Position on-site Monday to Thursday;
Fridays remote. 25% travel.
- Manages manufacturing infrastructure across North America, requiring strong technical and communication skills.
- Supports server operating systems, client hardware, Windows and Linux operating systems, SAN storage, hypervisor and virtualization solutions across all platforms in the client environment.
- Ensures delivery, availability, and performance of systems supporting client factory manufacturing environments.
- Provides technical expertise in Windows Servers (Clusters and OS), Hypervisor and virtualization (VMWare), SAN Storage systems, Thin Clients & Thin Manager Platform, Client iFIX, Client Historian, Wonderware, Rockwell suite, Ignition, Red Hat Open Shift and Enterprise Linux platforms, Backups, Azure/AWS platform support.
- Participates in on‑call rotation to support critical factory issues.
- Adheres to client compliance processes for implementing/upgrading factory solutions.
- Leads the change management lifecycle, ensuring regular testing before production release.
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes data and trends in new technologies for storage architecture, capacity, high availability, and response time.
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years’ experience.
- Associate’s degree plus 5 years’ experience.
- High school diploma/equivalent plus 7 years’ experience in engineering, IT, or a related technical field.
- Hardware Systems Architecture.
- Hypervisor Technologies.
- SAN Storage Technologies.
- Azure, AWS, or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience working on large, cross‑functional projects.
- Designing, developing, and maintaining manufacturing automation systems and architecture.
- Broad understanding of infrastructure hardware, software, and network topologies.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
