Professional Licensed Land Surveyor – St. Louis, MO
ABNA is seeking a Professional Licensed Land Surveyor for our St. Louis, MO location. This position requires knowledge and experience in surveying, topography, and boundary and easement plats. The candidate will either be a Licensed Land Surveyor in the State of Missouri or have the ability to obtain their license in 12-18 months. The licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) will be responsible for compliance with state board rules, regulations, and laws.
Responsibilities- Lead one or more Land Survey crews.
- Oversee multiple projects, scheduling, budgeting, and client relations.
- Directly manage complex technical Land Survey projects.
- Manage projects to ensure completion within schedule and budget.
- Manage personnel of 2 to 6 employees.
- Adequately schedule field staff to accomplish project goals.
- Direct and prepare field crews for construction staking, topographic mapping, and other related Land survey tasks.
- Survey related computations, resolve boundary plats, topo base plans and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Micro Station.
- Administrative tasks: timesheets, GPS logs, mileage logs, trucks and equipment.
- Periodically assess employee performance.
- Assist in bid solicitations & proposals.
- Demonstrate commitment to quality and customer service.
- Assist the Corporate Survey Manager and other department managers as required.
- Prepare project reports.
- Review deliverables and delivery of products.
- Minimum 3 years of survey field experience and 2 years of office management experience.
- Professional Licensed Surveyor in Missouri OR ability to obtain license within 12-18 months.
- Preferred: registered Professional Licensed Surveyor in Illinois and other neighboring states.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Micro Station and field-to-finish survey procedures.
- Working knowledge of GPS, survey data processing, control networks, and adjustments.
