Overview
Mechanical Engineer (Thermal Chilled Water Systems) role Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design of mechanical parts and assemblies and will work in a cross-functional development group. This position will be based onsite at Vertiv's Westerville, OH - Polaris location.
Responsibilities- Punctuality and regular attendance.
- Contribute to design projects and handle simple, tightly scoped design tasks with guidance.
- Create 3-Dimensional models using 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) package.
- Create and revise drawings and bill of materials.
- Interact with employees, outside vendors and suppliers as needed.
- Build prototypes to support the development of product design.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or directly related degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required with an Associate degree;
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software.
- Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of applicable engineering modeling tools.
- Technical knowledge of content primarily related to mechanical design.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic team.
