Role SummaryWe’re looking for a Fuel (Steam System) Subject Matter Expert to lead the charge in advancing energy conservation and sustainability across our North American operations. In this high-impact role, you’ll drive innovative strategies to reduce fuel use, improve steam quality and safety, and ensure regulatory compliance. From developing and executing a fuel strategy to deploying cutting‑edge technologies and sharing best practices across teams, you’ll be at the forefront of transforming how we manage energy in our brewery operations.
Job Responsibilities- Conduct ongoing performance monitoring of fuel usage across NAZ breweries.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fuel consumption to zone and global leadership.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive benchmarking program comparing internal energy use to industry standards and global leaders.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for fuel and steam use efficiency improvements.
- Lead company wide initiatives to reduce energy consumption, maintain steam quality, and improve steam safety practices.
- Develop and implement a corporate fuel strategy with short‑ and long‑term sustainability and financial goals.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate best practices in energy management.
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for fuel, biogas and steam related processes.
- Manage maintenance plans and best‑practice routines for relevant equipment.
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and equipment/process specifications for energy management across the organization.
- Support the environmental team to ensure compliance with local, national, emissions regulations and Title V compliance.
- Evaluate and recommend innovative water treatment solutions for boiler feedwater.
- Provide technical input for capital projects involving fuel and steam infrastructure.
- Conduct site assessments and audits to identify steam‑related risks and opportunities.
- Lead training sessions and workshops to promote awareness and education on energy conservation and equipment operation.
- Facilitate internal and external knowledge sharing on energy conservation best practices.
- Develop and provide leadership and guidance to zone‑wide team of local subject matter experts to build the technical network within our zone.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3+ years in brewery supply production environment.
- Proficiency in utility systems, including refrigeration, steam, CO₂, and water.
- Experience in brewing or packaging is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Demonstrated aptitude for leading and developing a team.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate long‑term sustainability goals into actionable operational plans.
- Proven track record of driving business improvements and implementing change initiatives.
- Ability to adapt to evolving business needs and navigate complex challenges with resilience.
- Solid understanding of environmental regulations related to utilities operations.
