IMEG is seeking a Senior Technology Engineer to join our Technology team in St. Louis, Missouri
. In this role, you will lead the design, analysis, and implementation oversight of low-voltage technology (ICT) systems—including structured cabling, audio/video, and security systems—for large and complex building projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide technical direction, and deliver innovative engineering solutions that meet client needs and industry standards. Path
The Senior Technology Engineer will lead projects as a project manager or the lead engineer for the delivery of large and highly complex projects. They will work closely with a team of engineers and consultants to provide project direction, engineering solutions, and advice to clients to ensure positive outcomes. Primary responsibilities will include engineering analysis, design and implementation oversight of low-voltage technology (ICT) systems in buildings.
Additional responsibilities include working within the project's monetary budget, leading training and mentoring efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.
- Lead design efforts for the analysis of IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage building systems. Utilize engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards
- Performs site assessments and generates detailed analysis and technical reports
- Interact with clients to understand their needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively. Build and maintain client relationships through professional communication
- Provide in-process design reviews of IT structured cabling, audio/video, security, and other low-voltage building systems design, calculations, and specifications. Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure that engineering designs and solutions meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards and client requirements
- Provide technical training and mentoring. Provide technical assistance in resolution of field issues with minimal support from senior staff
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in low-voltage technology (ICT) engineering. Lead research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG
- Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work. Identify and mitigate potential safety risks associated with low-voltage technology ICT systems
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals
- Lead project interviews and project presentations
- Mastery of design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications
- Mastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency of principles relating to electrical voltage and current, digital and analog signals, basic IT networking topologies and protocols, as it relates to electrical low-voltage systems design for buildings
- Strong training, mentoring and leadership skills
- Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise

- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer or related Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, related STEM field, or equivalent, required
