An established employee-owned mechanical contractor is seeking a Preconstruction Project Manager to lead front-end planning for large-scale commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects. This role focuses on conceptual estimating, cost strategy, and early-stage collaboration with design, engineering, and construction partners.
Responsibilities- Develop and manage budgets, conceptual estimates, and schedules during preconstruction
- Lead scope definition, bid packaging, and value engineering analysis
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering, BIM, and fabrication teams
- Interface with owners, architects, and GCs to provide clear project direction
- Ensure proposals and preconstruction deliverables are accurate and completed on time
- 5+ years in mechanical preconstruction, estimating, or project planning
- Strong knowledge of HVAC and piping systems
- Proven experience preparing conceptual budgets and supporting design-assist efforts
- Excellent communication, client-facing, and organizational skills
