Trenchless Rehab Project Engineer
We are seeking a Trenchless Rehab Project Engineer to support the planning, engineering, and execution of trenchless pipeline rehabilitation projects. This role works closely with Project Managers and field teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
.
Trenchless rehabilitation focuses on renewing underground utilities (water, sewer, storm systems) using no-dig technologies such as CIPP, sliplining, microtunneling, and HDD
, minimizing surface disruption.
- Assist with project planning, coordination, and execution of trenchless rehabilitation projects
- Support field operations and site activities in collaboration with construction crews and subcontractors
- Prepare and manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, daily reports, and project logs
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and trenchless engineering data
- Support safety compliance, quality control, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with scheduling, cost tracking, material coordination, and change management
- Coordinate with inspectors, engineers, clients, and stakeholders to resolve technical and construction issues
- Participate in project reviews,
risk assessments
, and continuous process improvement initiatives - Maintain clear and consistent communication across project teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management
, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - 5+ years of experience in civil, utility, trenchless construction, or engineering
- Working knowledge of trenchless technologies (CIPP, pipe bursting, microtunneling, HDD) preferred
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work both in the office and in the field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel to job sites as required
- Experience with project management software/tools
- Familiarity with local and state utility regulations
- Exposure to municipal water and wastewater systems
- Experience with CAD / Civil 3D is a plus
