We are partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing company in the St. Louis area to hire a New Product Development Engineer. Position Summary:
We’re seeking a creative and driven Mechanical Design Engineer to lead and support new product development initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of new products, as well as improvements to existing product lines. This is a hands-on engineering role that will work closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design new products from concept through production using Solid Works
- Improve and optimize existing product designs
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to test prototypes and validate designs
- Provide technical documentation and support for production and quality teams
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and customer specifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of Solid Works design experience
- Experience in product development and manufacturing environments
- Sheet metal /stainless-steel design experience
- Strong team collaboration skills and ability to work across departments
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
