Nooter/Eriksen is seeking an experienced HRSG Process Specialist to join our Thermal Design Team. This position is located in Fenton, MO and is a hybrid role depending on business needs.

Day in the Life

The HRSG Process Specialist will be responsible for analyzing process‑related field issues and advising suggested approaches, coordinating technical resolutions to known problems, and overseeing changes to programs, policies, philosophies, and procedures.

As an HRSG Process Specialist you will have three main areas of responsibility:

  • Work with all departments to support process‑related technical issues, diagnose root causes, and create clear and compelling reports summarizing diagnosis and recommended mitigation.
  • Lead or participate on internal cross‑functional study teams to improve existing technology or evaluate new technology.
  • Coordinate changes to programs, policies, philosophies, and procedures related to process design, and create written summaries to capture best practices and effectively share this knowledge with others.
Qualifications
  • Four‑year degree required; BSME or BSChE preferred.
  • At least 12 years of experience in power generation, preferably with combined‑cycle power plants or OEMs specializing in HRSGs.
  • Experience developing technical papers, presentations, design programs and procedures related to process engineering (heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, control logic).
  • Ability to independently manage important, complex technical customer negotiations.
  • Experience leading internal or external task teams and driving timely results.
  • Experience working with executive management and all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical and decision‑making skills.

Domestic and international travel up to 20% is required for this role.
