About ECS

We're in the risk management business. With our help, our clients keep their fire sprinkler systems safe. Whether it's a risk to lives, structures, properties, or everyday business, we guide clients to the best answer for their safety. Corrosion is our enemy and safety is our goal.

To accomplish that goal, we've come to understand why and how corrosion happens. There's no one-size-fits-all solution because a truly cost-effective combination of devices, systems, and management approaches depends on your individual needs. And we never stop finding new and better ways to serve those needs.

About the Role

The Senior Mechanical Engineer at Engineered Corrosion Solutions (ECS) will participate in the design and development of new products, support ongoing engineering efforts for current product lines, as well as lead process improvement initiatives in the product development function. The position involves collaboration with the engineering and manufacturing teams, as well as with sales and customers, throughout the entire product life cycle.

The role will also contribute to quality improvement and cost-saving initiatives. This position requires interaction with customers, sales, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality departments.

What You'll Do
  • Lead large-scale technical projects from concept through implementation, ensuring solutions meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Mentor and support fellow engineers, providing technical guidance that accelerates development, problem-solving, and professional growth.
  • Drive innovation by initiating, defining, and developing new product concepts, system architectures, and engineering solutions.
  • Identify and develop patentable technologies and intellectual property that strengthen the company’s competitive advantage.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the product development process to enhance efficiency, quality, and performance.
  • Specify, evaluate, select, and integrate vendor-supplied components into new and existing product designs.
  • Design products and systems with a focus on manufacturability, reliability, operability, maintainability, and compliance with applicable safety standards.
  • Create and maintain detailed 3D models, components, and assemblies that meet design requirements and performance specifications.
  • Lead the development and completion of engineering documentation, including drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, P&IDs, and related project files.
  • Play a key role in establishing, implementing, and improving team processes, best practices, and engineering objectives.
  • Communicate project status, technical updates, and recommendations effectively with team members, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and participate in design reviews to ensure technical excellence and project success.
  • Provide technical expertise and engineering support to internal stakeholders across operations, manufacturing, sales, service, and other business functions.
