Great Big Game Show hosts are world-class hospitality experts who are genuinely delighted to anticipate each individual's needs, enthusiastically serve them, and do whatever it takes to make their day.

Hosts at Great Big Game Show lead guests through live game show experiences. In each hour-long game show, contestants earn points for their team by competing in 8–10 minigames featuring physical, trivia, luck, and skill challenges.

Hosts introduce each game, add fun commentary, track points, and award a winner. They set the tone for the entire experience by delivering an upbeat introduction to groups of 2–14 guests and connecting with all ages to make their visit fun and memorable.

• Embody the mission, vision, and values during every shift
• Lead groups of 2–14 in friendly conversation
• Collect information and make meaningful connections with guests
• Enthusiastically explain GBGS games and products
• Use host software to interact with and adjust the studio environment
• Operate UI (User Interface) to run the game shows
• Give a recap of the experience in the outro
• Ensure operational excellence on shift by
  • Ensuring studio components function properly
  • Using setup sheets to accurately reset studios
  • Cleaning games and the GBGS facility
  • Being timely and exemplifying excellent time management skills to stay on schedule for assigned games
  • Restocking inventory
  • Completing necessary reports
    
    Using a company iPhone to record guest moments, combine them into a 30‑second highlight video, and send to guests
  • Immediately and graciously resolving service failures
  • Ensuring each guest has a five‑star experience and leaves happy

• Flexible availability, often nights, weekends, or holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods (including 1 hour running a game show, up to 4–5 shows per shift)
• Ability to engage in public speaking for extended periods (same duration)
• Ability to improvise fun, appropriate, professional commentary suitable for all ages
• Proficient in reading, understanding, and memorizing host scripts to deliver high‑quality experiences
• Excellent communication skills when speaking with guests
• Must handle physical activity such as deep cleaning, painting, standing, crawling, bending, lifting 30–40 lbs, and minor game repairs
• Quickly reset numerous game components within specific time frames outlined in training
• Align with GBGS Uniform Standards (listed in the linked job description)
