PositionPurpose
Under general supervision, performs a wide variety of diagnoses and repairs of slot machines; assists with slot installation and slot floor moves.
Essential Functions- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic slot machine malfunctions with minimal guidance or assistance.
- Replace parts and circuit boards which have caused malfunctions; may repair some circuit boards, with assistance.
- May utilize shop machines to fabricate standard or routine parts.
- May occasionally act as a specialist in either mechanical or electronic areas.
- May be given occasional assignments to provide training to slot technicians, floor persons or trainees.
- Maintains moderate skill levels in mechanical and electronic functions, with possible advanced skills in either.
- Performs general and preventive maintenance slot machine inspection, machine moving and installation.
- Investigate slot drop and meter variances.
- Investigate door switch communications and make necessary repairs.
- Investigate and review slot system reports and make necessary repairs.
- Be in compliance with all company policies, internal controls and Missouri Gaming Commission regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12‑hour shifts.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Regular and punctual attendance is required.
These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of an AA degree in Electronics and one‑year slot repair experience, or through a minimum of two years’ progressive slot repair experience, or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
