Attractions Operator

Description
Provide a welcoming environment while offering a safe recreational and educational experience at zoo attractions. Duties include operating the carousel, 4D theater, ticket scanning, event support, or helping at other zoo attractions.

Responsibilities

• Announce safety rules and watch for safety issues.

• Provide informational facts to guests.

• Assist guests getting onto attractions, including those in wheelchairs.

• Complete opening procedures and inspections.

• Perform general cleaning of attractions and surrounding area.

• Other duties as assigned in the attractions department, including evening events.

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma preferred, strong communication skills required, must be at least 16 years of age or older.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability most weekends, holidays, and event evenings.

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for long periods of time.

• Must maneuver guests using wheelchairs on and off attractions and stand for several hours.

• People skills to handle guest issues within zoo policies.

• Require criminal background check, drug test. Negative drug test mandatory; tests screens five substances including marijuana.
