Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our P3 | Infrastructure | Real Estate advisory group. The position will be affiliated with our offices in Washington, DC;
St. Louis, MO; and Austin, TX. Hybrid work within these markets is available.

This position will lead a wide range of market and financial analysis activities in support of state, local, and higher education clients. Additional areas of potential responsibility could include, but are not limited to, real estate advisory, business development and client service. The team brings its extensive project and program management experience to develop creative and valuable solutions to meet client needs and exceed expectations.

The successful candidate will serve in a management consulting capacity working closely with early career analysts and senior executives to deliver innovative solutions to public sector and higher education clients. Current engagements include real estate development analysis, fiscal impact analysis, tax value capture modeling; bond issuance analysis, data management and analysis, and a full range of mission-driven real estate and infrastructure transaction advisory services.

Responsibilities
  • Building and manipulating financial models, including real estate pro formas, in Excel, specifically highest and best use analysis and project feasibility analysis on a variety of real estate asset classes
  • Leveraging quantitative financial models to provide qualitative data to decision makers, including sensitivity analyses
  • Conducting fiscal impact and tax value capture analyses (ex. tax increment financing, special assessment districts)
  • Validate developer capital uses and operating pro formas
  • Monitoring capital markets conditions to inform real estate financing and transaction recommendations
  • Guiding the preparation of reports, written analyses, presentations and other client deliverables
  • Leading client engagements, including preparing client deliverables
  • Collaborating with external partners (e.g. finance, design, legal) to coordinate tasks and deliver high-quality client deliverables.
  • Managing client relationships, including communications, schedules, and meeting management
  • Actively marketing and selling the firm and P3/real estate services
  • Supporting proposals for new client opportunities
  • Supporting the creation of and updates to marketing materials
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, or business required – MBA/master of real estate/master of finance strongly preferred
  • At least eight (8) years of experience in commercial, public sector, or higher education real estate OR 4-5 years of experience and an advanced degree
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in a highly collaborative, team-based setting
  • Experience with real estate feasibility and economic impact analysis
  • Strong experience creating and analyzing development pro formas
  • Experience creating and analyzing real estate delivery and service solicitations – experience with public-private partnerships preferred
Demonstrate proficiency with most or all of the following:
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including financial and real estate cash flow modeling
  • Strong quantitative skills including knowledge of key financial concepts and metrics
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, with strong command of formatting tools and integrating charts and other financial storytelling components.
  • Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interest in collaborating with colleagues to build and/or enhance systems and processes that support a growing team and evolving client needs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively across concurrent projects.
  • Communicate effectively in written and verbal form
  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks concurrently
