Finance Manager – Fathers & Families Support Center
Position Title:

Full‑Time / Exempt
$65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year (Base pay)
Responsibilities- Work closely with the CFO to shadow and learn CFO tasks and duties for possible promotion into this role.
- Develop reports to present the financial status of the organization to the Board of Directors.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and present them to the board treasurer for presentation to the full Board of Directors.
- Verify and approve payroll information and submissions.
- Oversee systems to manage and report accounts payable/receivables, contractual agreements, and financial records.
- Assist with preparations of budgets for grant submissions and trend analysis to allocate grant dollars.
- Submit recommendations for the approval or disapproval of fund requests.
- Prepare budgets and monthly bank reconciliation reports for presentations as needed.
- Maintain financial records for each contract and grant compliance.
- Serve as staff liaison to the finance committee of the board of directors.
- Prepare a forecasting system to demonstrate the financial status of the organization.
- Evaluate data pertaining to costs to plan budgets and maintain financial files in preparation for audits.
- Effectively delegate, manage, and recruit finance team as needed.
- Prepare and submit the indirect cost proposal to the Department of Health & Human Services annually.
- Serve as liaison to committees; attend all staff, executive, BOD, and community meetings as requested or required.
- Knowledge and understanding of grants, budgets, and contracts.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to organize and present information.
- Analytical skills, data processing, proficiency with GAAP and accounting software.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with executives, BOD, peers, and subordinates.
- Team‑oriented, able to work independently, maintain confidentiality, establish trust, and build relationships.
- Critical thinking and analytical expression.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and other MS products.
- Understanding and practice of the NASW Code of Ethics.
- B.S. in Accounting (CPA preferred).
- 3–5 years of experience; 1 year as a finance manager in a non‑profit setting; 1 to 2 years of budget experience.
- Knowledge of federal awards and familiarity with federal uniform guidelines for administering federal awards.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle.
