Our client, a leader in the financial space in St. Louis, is seeking an experienced Financial Advisor Retirement Consultant to support sales and growth initiatives for retirement plan services. In this role, you will be a partner to financial advisors to identify opportunities, assist with client prospecting, and help close new business. You’ll act as a trusted resource—supporting advisor meetings, providing education on retirement plan options, and delivering consultative solutions tailored to client needs.

Base pay: $/yr - $/yr
What You Will Be Doing- Build and maintain strong relationships with financial advisors, third‑party administrators (TPAs), record‑keepers, and wholesalers to generate and close new business
- Educate advisors on retirement plan offerings, prospecting strategies, and best practices for positioning retirement plan solutions
- Participate in client meetings and consultations to help position and sell retirement plan services
- Use a consultative approach to assess business needs and recommend appropriate retirement plan structures
- Stay current on retirement plan products, tools, industry trends, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and present proposals, marketing materials, and solution comparisons
- Host meetings, coordinate with external professionals, and present at advisor/client‑facing events
- Conduct occasional client visits and support business development activities (travel up to 25%)
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively with financial professionals
- Strong understanding of retirement plan types and strategies, including:
- 401(k) plans
- Cash Balance plans
- Non‑Qualified plans
- Knowledge of retirement plan regulations and compliance requirements
- Self‑starter mentality with a strong track record of producing results independently
- Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent professional experience)
- 7+ years of related industry experience
- FINRA Series 7 license required
