We’re looking for a Senior Cost Analyst to join a growing manufacturing operation in North County
. This direct hire role is ideal for someone who thrives on digging into the details of cost data, collaborating cross‑functionally, and helping leadership make informed decisions backed by solid analysis.

What You’ll Do

Cost Analysis & Reporting

  • Compile and analyze manufacturing and operational reports for costs, variances, and trends.
  • Compare standard material and labor costs to actuals; investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Post standard cost of goods for month‑end close and prepare cost of goods sold (COGS) reports.

Inventory Management

  • Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliations, and transaction audits.
  • Assist with year‑end physical inventory audits.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with operations, procurement, and finance teams to align cost strategies and support business decisions.
  • Provide insights into cost drivers and recommend cost‑saving initiatives.

Other Things You’ll Touch

  • Jump in on other accounting or operations projects as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or operations.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities across departments.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment? Even better.
