These positions are responsible for assisting residential appraisal staff by collecting and validating residential assessment data. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
The typical starting salary is $18.07 hourly. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) policy.
St. Louis County Government is a qualified agency for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program managed by the Federal Government.
- Performs field audits of single family residential property to verify assessment records by reviewing, measuring and making necessary data changes.
- Performs inspections of single family residential property where preliminary values indicate an increase of more than 15 percent by verifying the physical characteristics, conducting valuation reviews and interviewing property owners onsite.
- Responds to property owner inquiries in person and on the telephone.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
One year of related experience; or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience. Must possess a valid driver's license.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The work rules for the St. Louis County Assessor's Office require all employees, whether they reside in St. Louis County or elsewhere, to remain current in the payment of their personal and real property taxes.
