Corrections Case Manager – St. Louis County
Provide casework for inmates focused on incoming processing, inmate programs and re‑entry into the community.

Examplesof Duties
Essential Function Examples:
- Assess classification status and determine program eligibility by securing and verifying information from inmates and other sources.
- Document caseload status, update records showing inmate progress and prepare reports.
- Monitor and direct daily inmate activities and enforce rules and regulations.
- Facilitate communications between inmates, court personnel, law enforcement and family members.
- Maintain and expand relationships with community service agencies and coordinate client referrals.
- Provide pre‑release group and individual counseling, calculate release dates and connect inmates to community resources and services prior to release.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience in substance abuse is not required but preferred.
A selection committee will evaluate the qualifications of each applicant—recentness and appropriateness of education and experience, answers to supplemental questions, employment references, and other relevant information. Candidates must earn a qualifying grade of 70 or more on the interview to be eligible for appointment. Selected candidates will complete a Conviction Questionnaire within 3 days. The top five candidates, based on final grade, will be certified to the Department Director/Appointing Authority.
All conditional offers require a urinalysis testing for illegal drug use, covered by the County.
