Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Staff Pharmacist, based in St. Louis, MO. The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for filling prescriptions accurately, consulting with patients on medication usage, and providing expert pharmaceutical care. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all pharmacy regulations, maintaining inventory, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and supervising pharmacy technicians. The role demands a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered pharmaceutical services.
Responsibilities- Fill prescriptions accurately.
- Consult patients on medication usage.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Maintain inventory and supervise pharmacy technicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals.
- Pharmacy-related expertise: proven knowledge in dispensing medications, understanding of drug interactions, and experience with prescription reviews.
- Patient care and consultation skills: strong ability to provide guidance on medication usage, address patient inquiries, and contribute to overall patient health management.
- Compliance and ethical standards: understanding and adherence to regulatory requirements, maintaining patient confidentiality, and upholding professional practice standards.
- Collaboration and team management: experience supervising pharmacy technicians and working effectively with healthcare professionals.
- Education and licensing:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
D) degree and a valid pharmacist license in Missouri. - Other valuable skills: excellent communication abilities, strong attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach to services.
