Base pay: $27.55/hr – $44.85/hr actual compensation depends on skills and experience.

7:00 am – 7:00 pm (PRN)

OverviewBarnes‑Jewish Hospital, the largest hospital in Missouri and a top U.S. News & World Report hospital, is part of Washington University Medical Center. The Clinical Management Services (CM) report through the division of Patient Care Services, led by the Chief Nursing Executive. The Social Work department operates 24 h/day, supporting patients across the hospital.
Role PurposeUnder the direction of a physician, assist patients and families in adapting and planning an interdisciplinary approach to treat the patient‑family system. Employees at an Illinois facility must possess an Illinois state social work license or be able to obtain it within 90 days.
Responsibilities- Provide direct clinical services to patients and families.
- Plan and implement social work services on assigned unit in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with community human service agencies to meet patient, family, and hospital needs.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work
- No prior experience required
- 2–5 years of experience
- Licensed Master Social Worker
