Workplace Health and Safety Specialist 2026 – Central (Recent and Upcoming Graduates)

Core Impact Areas- Safety Program Excellence & Implementation – drive comprehensive safety programs, lead safety audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and implement innovative solutions.
- Associate Advocacy & Cultural Leadership – serve as a trusted safety advisor, foster a safety culture through communication and coaching, drive behavioral changes, and transform safety data into compelling narratives.
- Lift up to 49 pounds, frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Stand or walk for up to 10–12 hours during shifts.
- Work in environments with variable noise, temperatures, and weather; including outside loading departments.
- Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
- Must be available for flexible shifts, including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Role will start between January 2026 and September 2026.
- This is a full‑time, on‑site position at a fulfillment center, sort center, delivery station, or other Amazon facility; it is not a corporate, remote, or office‑based role.
- Coordinating and implementing all aspects of Amazon’s Global Safety Program.
- Identifying and informing management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through audits.
- Facilitating incident investigations.
- Maintaining required paperwork to comply with Amazon and OSHA regulations.
- Conducting risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis).
- Recording safety incident information in internal databases in a timely manner.
- Innovating on process improvements and managing actions to completion.
- Training and assisting team members to complete safety tasks.
- Performing specific safety training as required.
- Providing additional oversight for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, and other safety related activities.
- Recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree with all requirements completed between May 2024 and August 2026 (degree requirements must be met before the first day).
- Working toward a degree in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Health & Safety, Safety Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Interest in or previous experience in safety‑related employment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem‑solving ability.

Compensation and BenefitsBase pay ranges from $52,400 to $76,500 per year depending on geographic market. Additional compensation may include equity, sign‑on payments, and benefits. For more information, visit
