Position:Nutrition Assistant
Location: Bridgeton, MO
Schedule: PRN Set days – Mondays and Fridays 9:30a‑6p, covering PTO/vacations.
Compensation: $19.50/PRN Rate
Walk‑In Interview Day: Wednesday, Dec. 10th from 11am‑4pm

- Perform duties related to patient menu systems, including food service contact, menu management, menu selection collection, data gathering, and communication of needs; ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, assemble, deliver, and retrieve patient menus/menus selections according to prescribed diets.
- Assist patients in completing menu selections compliant with prescribed diet.
- Offer alternative menu options as allowed for a prescribed diet, respecting food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
- Update and validate diet changes and labeling in the patient menu system; create, print, and place menu labels as needed.
- Communicate patient care and food service issues to the department.
- Print and distribute reports such as meal tallies, patient diet lists, and nourishment lists.
- Follow HIPAA and Joint Commission guidelines in line with organizational and departmental policies.
- Perform clerical assignments in the Food & Nutrition office, including faxing, answering phones, filing, photocopying, etc.
- Follow up on inquiries and requests in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Maintain proper levels of office and menu supplies.
- Attend in‑services and other departmental meetings.
- Assist tray line, food service aides, or catering as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous office experience (or equivalent).
- Working knowledge of therapeutic diets.
