Northwest Health Care, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.
Christian Hospital has a progressive pharmacy that offers many professionally challenging opportunities to impact patient care. The pharmacy services both Christian Hospital and Northwest Health Care. The pharmacy staff oversee cutting edge automation in medication distribution systems. Our pharmacists provide clinical services including participation in patient rounds, nutritional therapy services, screening patients daily for change in renal functions and adjusting the dosage accordingly.
The pharmacists work in a team-structured environment with other healthcare professionals 24 hours a day.
Role Purpose
Evaluates and recommends appropriate drug therapy to achieve optimal cost-effective patient outcomes, by working directly with physicians, other health professionals, and patients. Participates in the development, provision and evaluation of comprehensive pharmaceutical care and quality assurance programs through scholarly activities. Serves as a resource to the pharmacy staff and other hospital departments.
