Job Description

As a Medical Assistant, you will function within the department to ensure the smooth operation of the clinical office. This role includes preparing and maintaining exam rooms, managing patient charts, obtaining reports and records, assisting with patient flow, and providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

* Interact directly with patients in a clinic setting and complete clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and verifying medications.

* Prepare for office hours by obtaining charts, scheduling tests, and preparing exam rooms.

Essential Skills

* Certification as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).

* Experience with Epic electronic medical records.

* Proficient in medical assisting tasks and healthcare protocols.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.

* Two years or more of Medical Assistant experience.

* Strong interactive communication skills.

* Ability to work effectively with physicians, patients, families, significant others, and support staff.

* Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Work Environment

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, from either 7:30 am to 5:00 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The role is in a primary care setting with 8 providers, and you will be cross-trained for both front and back office tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.
