Interventional Radiologic (IR) Technologist
Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University Medical Center
About the PositionFull-time position (36 hours per week). 10‑hour day shifts (7:30 am–6 pm) on 4 days per week with a 7‑day schedule. Call rotation required for week overnights and weekends.
Pay Range$33.00 /hr – $49.50 /hr (based on skills and experience)
Position Details- No prior IR tech experience required; training provided.
- Works independently with a multidisciplinary team performing fluoroscopic imaging procedures.
- Performs image post‑processing and circulatory procedures.
- PDP program & Radiology Leadership Development Program.
- Siemens Fluoro units, GE Ultrasound, Epic.
- Week overnight call rotation (one shift within one or two weeks):
Monday‑Thursday (6 pm – 7:30 am). - Weekend call (occurring every 10th or 11th weekend):
Friday (6 pm – 8 am) & Saturday (4 pm – 7:30 am);
Saturdays 8 am‑4 pm 3‑4 times per year.
- Associate’s Degree or trade‑school equivalency in radiology (or higher) or enrollment in a radiology program.
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)).
- No IR tech experience necessary; willing to train.
- Preferred candidates: X‑ray techs, graduates or students in MR, CT, RT, ARRT, etc.
- Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
- Perform studies independently, including on‑call situations, portable exams and other sites as required.
