Full‑time Physical Therapist

Under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership and according to departmental policies and procedures regarding referral and standards of treatment, performs objective assessments and comprehensive individualized treatment programs for adult and geriatric patients. Responsible for direct supervision of patients, indirect supervision of rehabilitation technicians, and general supervision of PT assistants in accordance with State Practice Acts. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor, Master of Science in Physical Therapy or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
• Licensure:
  Current/Temporary license of Physical Therapy in state of practice.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS certified. Required certifications must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.
• Preferred Experience:
  
  Six months to one year experience preferred for Rehabilitation Physical Therapist; experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
