Behavioral Health Associate - Part Time

Under the supervision of the registered nurse, assist in the individualized care of the patient directed toward achieving the patients highest level of physical and mental wellness. Performs designated clinical procedures and non‑clinical support tasks essential to nursing care. Assists in unit operational support tasks or duties. Performs duties and responsibilities in manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

• Preferred Education:
  
  High School Diploma and/or Nurse Assistant training course
• Preferred Experience:
  • Behavioral Health, Psych, or Direct Support Professional
  • This role requires a high level of emotional resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm and grounded under pressure. The ideal candidate is someone who can set boundaries, handle confrontation constructively, and offer compassionate care while maintaining a safe environment for both patients and staff. In addition to direct patient care, the BHT supports various operational tasks essential to the smooth functioning of the unit and is expected to uphold our mission, values, and service standards in every interaction
  • The physical demands described here are the representative of the minimums that must be met by an employee to perform all essential functions of the job. Most physical demands are below, plus:
    Minimal: lift floor to waist height of < 30 lbs (horizontally) and < 40 lbs force, balance;
    Frequent: hand coordination, data entry
