Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an IR Tech with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT certification for a day-shift position in Interventional Radiology.
Responsibilities- Work in an interventional radiology unit performing outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU procedures
- Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephogram, vascular studies, venous access, neuro studies, GU, abdominal, pelvis, and extremity procedures
- Use of equipment includes PACS, C-Arm, contrast, injector systems (preferably ACIST), pushable and detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, snare kits
- Experience with Epic EMR is required
- Day shift with 4x10 hour schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Call rotation includes an average of 10 days per month, including weekends
- No floating outside of the interventional radiology scope
- Duties include deploying advanced interventional devices and assisting in a wide range of radiology procedures
- Scrubs are provided
- Onsite parking is available at no cost
- Must be available to work 4 of the 8 major holidays
- All requested time off must be submitted with the application, and additional requests post-confirmation are at manager discretion
- First-time travelers are welcomed for this assignment
- Minimum of 2 years of interventional radiology experience required
- Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
- Proficiency with PACS, Epic, C-Arm, contrast, biopsies, and specialized procedural equipment
- Experience in outpatient, inpatient, and adult ICU settings is required
- Must be able to use pushable/detachable coils, micro catheters, micro wires, snare kits, and injector systems
- Candidates must live more than 70 miles from the facility
- Two professional references from supervisors within the past 2 years are required
- License required if applicable
