We are seeking an experienced Hotel Operations Manager for a premier executive hotel and conference center in St. Louis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality leader ready to take the next step toward an Assistant General Manager or General Manager career path. The position will serve as a key operational leader during the afternoon and evening hours, overseeing the overall guest experience while partnering across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Conference Services, AV, and other hotel departments.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong combination of hotel operations, guest service, rooms, and food & beverage experience along with the leadership ability to develop teams, reinforce service standards, and help drive a positive employee culture.

Typical schedule:

Approximately 12:00 PM–8:00 PM or 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, depending on business needs. This is not an overnight position.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the senior operational leader during the PM shift
  • Oversee the overall hotel and conference-center guest experience
  • Partner across Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, AV, Engineering, and Conference Services
  • Maintain high standards for hospitality, service, cleanliness, and operational execution
  • Act as a visible leader throughout the property and proactively identify opportunities to improve the guest experience
  • Review daily hotel and conference business, arrivals, departures, functions, and operational priorities
  • Resolve guest concerns and operational issues with professionalism and urgency
  • Support department leaders and employees during high-volume periods
  • Help build a strong employee culture focused on hospitality, accountability, communication, and teamwork
  • Coach and develop team members while reinforcing company policies and service expectations
  • Serve as a key client and guest contact during the PM operation
  • Coordinate with the General Manager and department leaders regarding operational needs and follow-up
  • Assist with emergency response and ensure appropriate procedures are followed
  • Identify recurring operational challenges and recommend solutions
  • Support continuous improvement across the hotel operation
What We’re Looking For
  • Progressive hotel leadership experience in a full-service hotel, resort, conference center, or similar hospitality environment
  • Background in hotel rooms operations and/or food & beverage
  • Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, Director of Rooms, Director of Food & Beverage, Hotel Operations Manager, Rooms Division Manager, or similar leadership role
  • Strong guest-service and service-recovery skills
  • Experience leading across multiple hotel departments
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and develop hospitality teams
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable making operational decisions and taking ownership during the PM shift
  • Professional presence and the ability to interact confidently with executives, conference guests, and other high-profile clientele
  • Experience with hotel operating systems such as Opera and Micros is preferred
  • Hospitality degree or related education is preferred
  • Career interest in continuing to grow into broader hotel leadership
Benefits
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
  • Employee wellness and hospitality benefits
Why This Opportunity?

This role is designed for someone who wants more than responsibility for a single hotel department.

You’ll gain broad exposure across the entire operation while working closely with senior hotel leadership. For the right hospitality professional, this can be an excellent developmental step toward Assistant General Manager and ultimately General Manager responsibility.

Compensation: $95,000–$105,000 annually
