Entry Level Recruiter
Hollywood Casino St. Louis is seeking an entry‑level recruiter to support the talent acquisition function for Hollywood Casino St. Louis and River City Casino & Hotel.
Responsibilities- Utilizes sourcing tools to their fullest potentials to expand talent pipelines for open jobs and future needs.
- This includes, but is not limited to, social media resources, radio advertisement, text campaigns, and virtual and in‑person hiring events.
- Meets established KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and goals assigned by leadership.
- Proactively partners with local recruitment agencies and programs to address key staffing needs, including but not limited to career centers, educational institutes, and governmental agencies.
- Makes improvements to internal recruitment efforts as needed to maximize quality hires for hourly positions.
- Sources, screens, and interviews qualified candidates to fill existing and future hourly job openings.
- This process includes, but is not limited to, reviewing resumes and applications to ensure job qualifications are met, and managing interview schedules for HR and hiring managers.
- Determines which candidates are passed to hiring managers for consideration, based on conversation and guidance from the hiring manager.
- Schedules interview processes and ensures candidate workflow is streamlined according to assigned timelines.
- Creates and extends job offers on the hiring manager’s behalf and escalates negotiations to leadership.
- Responsible for providing a positive candidate experience for all internal and external candidates.
- Ensures candidates receive applicable communication regarding their application.
- Assists with onboarding process of hourly hires, including completion of iForms, background checks, and monitoring onboarding milestones.
- Assists with uploading and processing of new hires and rehires into the HRIS system as needed.
- Prepares and sends talent acquisition reports to the team as needed.
- Assists with HR Generalist duties as needed, including team member engagement and social media engagement for current and future team members.
- Enthusiastically supports and promotes superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements within the area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to management.
- Applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
- Associate degree (A.A.) in Human Resources or related field; or 6 months experience in Customer Service or Human Resources related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Must have excellent project and time management skills with the ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
- Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Outlook).
- Must have technical knowledge in building sourcing strategies using a variety of means including cold calling, leveraging competitive resources, networking, and data mining Internet tools, web sites, and social networking.
- Preferred experience with applicant tracking systems such as iCIMS.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Ability to be proactive when working on tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
