MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and professional HR Benefits Supervisor to join our Human Resource steam! Qualifications- A bachelors degree in Human Resources is preferred.
- One to two years of Human Resources experience and/or employee benefits administration experience is preferred.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is required.
- Must have a strong understanding of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and other applicable benefits regulations, along with experience using HRIS and benefits administration systems.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership, customer service, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, is required.
- Oversee administration of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, FSA, HSA, and COBRA
- Ensure benefit enrollments, changes, qualifying life events, and terminations are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate annual Open Enrollment, including employee communication, system preparation, enrollment support, and audits.
- Maintain compliance with applicable benefit regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, and Section 125 requirements.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex benefit questions, eligibility issues and coverage.
- Supervise HR Benefit Specialists and HR Receptionist staff.
- Develop and maintain procedures, training materials, and customer service standards.
- Track and report key metrics related to benefit administration, employee inquiries, case resolution, and team performance.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, employee experience, and HR service delivery.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure sensitive employee information is handled appropriately. /li>
- Other duties as assigned.
- Individual and family medical benefits for full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week.
- Individual and family dental and vision benefits on the first of the month following the hire date for employees working 20 or more hours week.
- Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance on the first of the month following the hire date for employees working 20 or more hours per week.
- 403(B) Retirement on date of hire for employees working 20 or more hours per week.
- 403(B) Retirement + Employer Match after one year of employment for employees working 20 or more hours per week.
- 401(A) Retirement on date of hire for employees working 20 or more hours per week.
- PTO Accrual up to 15 days based on hours worked.
