The Storage Administrator shall perform Data Transfer Officer (DTO) tasks and focus on moving (“replicating”) data and products among networks, providing dissemination support from all Agency networks to appropriate domains and loading data/products to Gateway networks. The Storage Administrator is required to work on a team that transfers Agency products, information, data, and web content for dissemination on Agency and coalition networks.
Responsibilities- Select, transfer, and load items to the Agency Gateway networks.
- Transfer items between security or network domains, including Battlefield Information Collection Exploitation System (BICES).
- Transfer selected items and load to the correct location on the server, ensuring indexes, metadata, and other supporting information is updated as needed.
- Document transfer and perform quality assurance for all items transferred.
- Identify products/data to be transferred and loaded by the requested “effective by” date.
- Perform quality assurance of all items transferred and loaded, including text, images, hyperlinks, metadata, and HTML meta-tags, ensuring proper browser presentation.
- Serve as a final human reviewer of items released to the target security/network domain.
- Ensure appropriate records of data and information transferred are created and maintained.
- Capture and maintain accumulated statistics on quantities (including number of loads) and timelines for products and data transferred to provide reporting.
- Provide ad hoc data reports per management requests.
- Provide weekly status updates to Content Management & Services management detailing activities and accomplishments.
- Provide 24/7 support with 2nd or 3rd shift schedule (1500 to 0700), including weekends and holidays; schedule determined by the Government Point of Contact (GPOC). Transition to shift after training.
- Perform ad hoc data transfer requests.
- Coordinate with International Liaisons.
- Provide Continuity of Operations (COOP) support.
- Perform Reliable Human Review (RHR) for all networks Legacy products transfers.
- Manage info sharing products on Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPR).
- Experience using web-based technologies and markup languages (HTML and web system concepts).
- Ability to engage with a variety of customers through oral and written communications.
- Ability to plan and schedule against multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience using quality assurance and troubleshooting & analysis and Controlled Access Program Coordination Office (CAPCO) markings and implementation.
- Experience using multi-tiered systems and communication between components.
- Experience using Storage Area Networks, Network Attached Storage using systems, and storage architecture best practices.
- Experience using Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-the-Shelf (GOTS) tools to load data into databases and disk storage, and to extract data from databases.
