Job Title: QA Engineer

Position Summary:

The QA Engineer will be responsible for enhancing software quality through testing various software components. The role requires someone with strong hands-on testing experience and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The individual will collaborate with the development team and subject matter experts to improve overall software quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing on web, mobile, and tablet applications, focusing on user interfaces and functional aspects.
• Conduct system integration testing, validating back-end components and integration points.
• Create, execute, and maintain test cases and scripts.
• Utilize defect-tracking software for reporting and monitoring issues.
• Perform ad-hoc testing when requirements are not explicitly documented.
• Prioritize tasks based on quality risk mitigation, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate closely with development teams and subject matter experts to improve quality processes.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software testing and quality assurance experience.
• Bachelor's degree (preferably in a technical field).
• Extensive manual testing experience, specifically in UI and functional testing of web, mobile, and tablet applications.
• Experience in system integration testing and validating back-end components.
• Intermediate to strong SQL experience for data validation.
• Familiarity with defect-tracking software and test case/script creation.
• Experience with ad-hoc testing and the ability to work without documented requirements.
• Knowledge of quality assurance best practices and ability to apply them in a maturing process environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of managing workload autonomously.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain accountability.
