System Administrator (TS Clearance Required)

North Point Technology is seeking an experienced System Administrator to work on cloud-based systems with a mission operations team. The team is involved in operations and sustainment of multiple operational cloud deployed geospatial solutions. A successful candidate will have experience with installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of cloud-based systems.

This program requires employees to have an active TS clearance with the ability to obtain SCI and a CI Polygraph.

• Taking a leadership role in system changes and improvements
• Working directly with government and contractor POCs to troubleshoot and respond to security reports
• Proactively monitoring all operational systems and performing complex health checks
• Deploying security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments
• Updating critical databases with new data; authoring and updating operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs

• TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly (or ability to pass CI Poly upon hire)
• DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher)
• Typically requires a BS degree and 8–12 years of prior relevant experience, or a master’s with 6–10 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience in AWS/Cloud technologies
• Advanced Linux administration experience with RHEL 7 or higher
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server
• Knowledge of systems, architecture, software development and sustainment practices
• Windows administration
• Proactive self-starter with a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills
• Organizational skills: ability to plan and prioritize work, follow tasks to logical conclusion, and maintain high standards with attention to detail
• Communications: ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and clients, verbally and in writing, and to present ideas appropriately for different audiences and contexts

• Experience with ArcGIS/ESRI automation and deployments
• Understanding of RDS and SQL technology
• AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developer certification(s)
• Experience with IC Cloud Architecture implementation methodologies
• Team collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, Rocket Chat)
• In-depth knowledge of NiFi Apache (orchestration software), Python machine learning algorithms, machine learning skills with experience in unstructured text parsing, and Tomcat
