Overview

Network Administrator II role at CACI International Inc. This position provides support for the implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT networks, including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for the network architecture and devices.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
  • Provide support for escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
  • Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
  • Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems.
  • Support hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning and design.
  • Provide transition planning and support services that accelerate delivery timelines, reduce operational risk and ensure service continuity during transition.
  • Provide transition planning and support for the migration of existing services between environments (e.g., migration to Cloud environments), migration of users from existing service platforms to new service offerings and transition of services into operations.
  • Provide guidance to lower level technicians and specialists.
  • Work individually and as part of integrated teams.
  • Understand and apply advanced concepts and processes to daily activities.
  • Assist more senior technicians, specialists, and managers; can perform all tasks of lower level technicians or specialists.
  • Provide O&S of LAN/WAN services on an expanded 24x7 on-site service level and expanded 12x5 service support during core hours, with on-call support and two-hour response time during non-core hours.
  • Provide manhole maintenance and repairs of outside plant cabling on a standard 8x5 service support level for communications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field
  • 4+ years’ experience as a Network Administrator
  • DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01-M, IAT II required
  • Plans, builds, and installs cable patch panels and cable infrastructures
  • Installs and terminates all types of standard IT cable and fiber
  • Manage IT network infrastructure and related processes
  • Makes recommendations on hardware, cabling, and equipment requirements
  • Provides installation management including creating materials lists, bills of materials, estimating installation timelines, determining team requirements, executing installation projects, and documenting status
  • Provides equipment rack installation and equipment installations within data centers, equipment rooms, communications closets, operations centers, and user work spaces
Desired
  • Experience with 802.11 wireless technologies, specifically 802.11ac and 802.11ax
  • Experience with Cisco/Meraki/Juniper/Aruba wireless and associated management platforms
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience of WLAN design and benchmarking software
Pay Range

The proposed salary range for this position is $63,300-$129,700. The salary may be influenced by location, contract terms, prior experience, skills, education, and certifications. CACI provides comprehensive benefits including healthcare, wellness, retirement, and time off.
