Clearance Required:

Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency. Must be able to pass a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph (current CI Polygraph preferred) Background:

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Technical Writer to join our team in providing support for the Research Directorate at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) The position supports NGA Research's mission to be a premier R&D organization with the unique focus of leading GEOINT research.

NGA Research is responsible for performing scientific research and transitioning innovative concepts and capabilities to solve hard problems for NGA, National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial Intelligence (ASG), IC, and DoD. NGA Research requires support staff who can assist in the day-to-day coordination and data management that support these activities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The Senior Technical Writer will provide administrative support to the Research Directorate and Senior Leadership levels in the Government program offices for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). The work requires a high level of professionalism, performance, and accountability.
* Researching, writing, editing, and proofreading technical data for use in publications and other forms of media.
* Creating technical writing products for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to editorial and Government specifications and standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style.
* Editing and reviewing documents in accordance with language, style, publication, format, classification, and source standards.

Required Qualifications:

* 15+ years of work experience
* Strong verbal communication skills to articulate and exchange information
* Strong written communication skills and command of English language grammar
* Understanding of sensitive document handling and compliance with a "clean desk" work environment. Desired

* Prior experience supporting NGA

The physical requirements of this position include:
* Work synchronously and collaboratively with the Government functional and technical staff, from within a Government SCIF, for an average of 40 hours per week.
* Effectively and responsively summarize, analyze, document, and communicate written and verbal information as required by the position in a timely manner.

Shift: Day Export Control:
For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.

-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
