Information Technology - Quality Engineer - Sr.

Join Apex Systems as an experienced Quality Engineer to lead API service testing, automate tests, and drive quality across our products.

• Solid Senior Quality Engineer with extensive API service testing experience and data validation.
• Create test cases and scenarios to validate systems and applications to meet quality standards and prevent defect leakage in production.
• Develop scalable and reliable automated tests; develop performance testing scripts to ensure products adhere to documented SLO/SLI/SLAs; specify test data needs; create automated regression suites; integrate into CI/CD pipeline.
• Perform defect analysis and root cause investigation, identify trends, recommend process improvements; analyze functional and non‑functional test results for enhancements; design performance/resilience test strategies and conduct testing to meet SLAs/SLOs.
• Review test cases for complete functional coverage; review quality section of Production Readiness Review; recommend changes to testing methodologies for effectiveness; ensure thorough and accurate documentation of status and project updates.
• Follow SDLC and partner closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Tech Leads, and Platform Engineers to deliver business commitments.
• Create, review and validate test data.

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM major, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent combination.
• 5 – 7 years of software testing experience.
• Experience with test automation tools such as Karate and Cucumber.
• Experience with continuous integration environments (Jenkins) in public cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure).
