IT Project Manager – Intermediate Level

St. Louis, MO (Mostly remote and 1 day per month onsite)
W2 Contract-to-Hire
W2 pay rate: $50-$60/hr - Medical benefits available

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead projects from initiation through successful completion.
The ideal candidate is a strong project manager first and an IT expert second
. This person must be a proactive, organized go-getter who takes ownership, drives accountability, anticipates problems, and gets things done.
Approximately 75% of the role involves stakeholder communication, task management, project planning, and driving execution
, with the remaining 25% focused on vendor management, budgets, and financial tracking
.

• Lead projects through the full project lifecycle
  , from initiation through completion.
• Develop, own, and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate stakeholders, assign and track tasks, and consistently follow up to ensure commitments are met.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, decisions, and next steps to stakeholders and leadership.
• Identify obstacles early and aggressively drive issues toward resolution.
• Manage third-party vendors and hold them accountable for schedules and deliverables.
• Monitor project budgets, invoices, forecasts, and related financial activities.
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

• 4+ years of project management experience
  , preferably involving IT infrastructure or technology projects.
• Proven full lifecycle project management experience.
• Excellent stakeholder communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Teams
  .
• Experience managing vendors and project budgets.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Personality and project leadership skills are more important than deep IT knowledge.
