Commercial Lines Account Manager — St. Louis or Kansas City, MO (Other Locations Considered)

Join POWERS Insurance and Risk Management as a Commercial Lines Account Manager and help producers grow a profitable, client‑focused agency. This role focuses on new business, account renewals, and client relationship management for a portfolio of commercial lines accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Assist producers in acquiring new business and managing a portfolio of assigned POWERS commercial lines clients.
  • Coordinate renewals and lead generation with producers and provide rates, quotes, and proposals for new or expansion opportunities.
  • Conduct risk management reviews of commercial lines accounts to identify inadequate coverages or limits, discuss findings with producers, and prepare surveys as needed.
  • Prepare documents and proposals for new accounts, review quotations from underwriters, and ensure timely delivery to clients within 2 weeks of receipt.
  • Maintain direct communication with producers, underwriters, and insureds to service assigned accounts and manage policy and claim processing situations.
  • Utilize and improve agency management systems, maintain client records, and perform other duties as assigned to support agency objectives.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance industry.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a detail‑oriented, organized, self‑directed approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and highly desirable experience with agency management systems.
  • College education preferred.
  • Property & Casualty Producer License required.

Benefits include a competitive salary range of $75,000‑$95,000 per year, full‑time benefits, and a collaborative agency environment.
