Overview

Join a team where your decisions make a difference. As an Underwriter, you'll evaluate insurance applications for medical malpractice coverage. You'll assess risks, analyze property details, and decide whether to accept, modify, or decline applications. This role doesn't involve production goals, so you can focus on making informed decisions and supporting senior underwriters.

How you'll make an impact

In this role, you'll carefully review insurance applications to ensure they meet our guidelines. You'll evaluate property value, location, usage, and safety features to make fair and accurate decisions. You'll also collaborate with field teams to gather the information you need to defend your choices. Your work will help us provide reliable coverage to our clients while managing risks effectively.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications and Microsoft Office. Behaviors:
Detail oriented; strong analytical skills and good communication and interpersonal skills.

The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
