Lewis Rice LLC, a large St. Louis law firm, has an opening for a Patent Paralegal. This position requires an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience. A minimum of three years of relevant experience and a Paralegal certificate are preferred. The hours of the position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position offers an excellent salary commensurate with experience and an excellent comprehensive benefits package including major medical plans, 401(k) plan, and paid parking.

• Assisting attorneys with all aspects of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution and maintenance
• Preparation and filing of applications and all associated documents
• Preparation of client reporting letters
• Direct correspondence with clients and foreign associates
• Information Disclosure Statements
• Preparation and filing of copyright applications
• Registration and renewal of domain name registrations
• Other duties as assigned

• This position requires an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience and a Paralegal certificate are preferred
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required
• Organizational, time management and prioritization skills required
• Ability to utilize technology resources to support clients and attorneys
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Ability to communicate professionally
